Tools and techniques to help you understand your values, get clear on your priorities, learn more about your personality and strengths - included!
I'll guide you through setting goals which align to your personality and values.
I do this by listening, asking curious questions, gently challenging you to consider different perspectives, and being there to celebrate your progress.
Focus on wellbeing - Goals which complement, not compromise your wellbeing
Achievable steps - Move towards your goals in a way which feels 'right' rather than radical
Confidence - Identify small, manageable steps you'll feel confident taking
A calm and supportive space - to explore what matters to you
Judgment-free listening - I act as an objective sounding board
Gentle challenge - to consider new perspectives and take action
No advice - I won't tell you what to do, but I will support you to find your own way forward
Confidentiality - your confidentiality is always a priority
A substitute for mental health treatment, therapy, or counselling - I am not a mental health professional
Mentoring or advice-giving - Coaching empowers you to find your own solutions
A social space for just talking things through - I'm there to keep you moving forwards
Kick-ass tough love - That's not my style
There is a place for taking the plunge and jumping into things way beyond our comfort zone. I've taken this approach myself in the past and have come out the other side feeling surprised (and very proud) of achieving things I never thought possible! But in the longer term, the better you can understand yourself, the better you can take on big challenges in a way which feels less scary.
Intentionally working in alignment with our personality, values, and preferences - rather than pushing beyond them - can be just as powerful.
We aren't typically taught to understand ourselves very well. The emphasis is often on what you're good at, what skills you have, and how you can excel within the 'usual' study and career pathways. For lots of people (myself included), this leaves them feeling lost at times. Coaching can help you understand who you are, what you value, and how you define success for yourself.
